Your people show up for your business. Protect them like it.
In the tightest labor market in decades, the difference between the businesses that keep their best people and the ones that lose them often comes down to one thing: the benefits package.
| The Real Conversation
You cannot always out-pay the big companies. You can out-care them.
Michigan small businesses employ nearly half the state's private workforce. They are the backbone of every community, and they are competing for talent against corporations with HR departments and benefit budgets that dwarf their own.
The playing field is not equal. But it does not have to be. Supplemental employee benefits, the kind that protect workers when they get hurt, get sick, or face an unexpected hospital stay, are often entirely voluntary. That means your employees choose them and pay for them through payroll deduction.
Your cost: the time it takes to make them available. Their value to your team: significant.
What We Offer
Coverage that protects your people when life does not go as planned.
These are not extras. For the employees who need them, they are the difference between a manageable situation and a financial crisis.
Short-Term Disability
Replaces a portion of an employee's income when they cannot work due to illness, injury, or recovery. Covers the gap that health insurance does not, the paycheck that stops when the person does.
Income protectionHospital Indemnity
Pays a direct cash benefit for hospital stays, regardless of what major medical covers. Employees use it for out-of-pocket costs, household bills, or anything else that piles up during a hospitalization.
Gap coverageAccident Insurance
Pays cash benefits directly to employees for covered accidental injuries, from emergency treatment and hospital stays to fractures, burns, and surgery. Multiple benefits can be paid from a single accident, helping cover the out-of-pocket costs that health insurance was never designed to handle.
Accidental InjuryCritical Illness Protection
Pays a benefit upon diagnosis of a covered condition, heart attack, stroke, cancer, and others. Gives employees financial breathing room when a serious diagnosis turns life upside down.
Diagnosis protectionDental & Vision
Affordable group-rate dental and vision coverage employees can access through payroll deduction, consistently among the most valued and requested benefits in employee satisfaction surveys.
Highly requestedGroup Life Insurance
Provides a baseline death benefit for covered employees, a meaningful protection that signals your investment in the people who show up for your business every day.
Team protectionWho This Is For
Built for the decision-makers who take their team seriously.
Whether you run the business or run the HR department, if employee retention and wellbeing are on your list, this conversation is for you.
Small Business Owners (3–100 employees)
You want to take care of your people but you are already managing every other cost in the business. Voluntary benefits let you expand what you offer without expanding your expenses, and they help you compete with the larger employers your best employees could go to.
HR Directors & Benefits Decision-Makers
You need benefits that are easy to administer, meaningful to employees, and defensible to leadership. Supplemental benefits check all three boxes, and a licensed broker handles the enrollment process so your team does not have to.
Growing Businesses Adding Their First Benefits
You have hit the point where your team expects more than a paycheck. Starting with voluntary supplemental benefits is the lowest-barrier, highest-impact way to build a benefits culture without committing to large recurring employer costs.
Trade, Service & Physical Labor Businesses
When your employees work with their hands, accident and disability coverage is not optional, it is essential. A workplace injury without income protection can cost you a valued team member permanently. These benefits protect them and protect your business continuity.

Common Questions
Questions from business owners just like you.
Direct answers to the things we hear most often from business owners considering employee benefits for the first time, or looking to expand what they already offer.
For the majority of the supplemental benefits we offer, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and short-term disability, the answer is yes. These are voluntary benefits, meaning employees elect them and pay the premiums themselves through pre-tax payroll deduction. Your cost as the employer is administrative, you set up the payroll deduction and we handle everything else. Some businesses choose to contribute toward certain benefits like dental, vision, or group life, but this is entirely your decision. We will be clear about any employer contribution requirements for any option we present.
