Life Insurance, Engineered Around What You Actually Want to Build
Income replacement. Cash accumulation. Retirement income. College planning. Mortgage protection. Long term care. These are only examples, not the limit, of how the same foundation can be shaped around what your family, your business, or your future requires.
No obligation. No pressure. One conversation.
Life insurance is not a purchase.
It is a plan. Let's build yours.
Goshen Financial works with multiple top-rated carriers to match the right type, amount, and structure of coverage to your actual life.
Let's Be Honest About Where You Stand
102 million
American adults with no life insurance, or not enough of it
42%
of people who already have a policy say it falls short of what their family needs
30%
of people without coverage say buying it has been on their to-do list for years
Life insurance is essential, yet roughly 75 million American adults do not have any coverage at all. Another 27 million have a policy that is not enough. That is about 102 million people walking around today exposed to a risk they have not actually solved. [12]
Here is the honest question: if something happened to you or your spouse tomorrow, how would it change things financially for your family? Could you keep the house on one income? Cover the bills without a scramble? Keep your kids in the same school, the same activities, the same life? Or would everything have to shrink overnight while everyone is still grieving?
If you are not sure, you are not alone. Forty-two percent of people who already have a policy admit it falls short of what their family actually needs. Three in ten people without coverage say buying it has been on their to-do list for years, and it still has not happened. [12]
This is about giving you a clear, honest picture of where you stand, and a simple way to close the gap. The right policy, structured the right way, means your family never has to start over financially, and it can be a tool you use while you are still here to enjoy it.
Living Benefits
Coverage You Can Use While You Are Still Here
Most people assume a life insurance payout only happens after death. Many modern policies let you access part of your death benefit while you are alive if you are diagnosed with a qualifying illness. This is one more way the same policy works for you, not only for the people you leave behind.
Terminal Illness
If you are diagnosed with a terminal condition and given a life expectancy of about 12 to 24 months or less, you can access a portion of your death benefit early, often at no additional cost.
Chronic Illness
If you become unable to perform two or more daily living activities on your own (bathing, eating, dressing, and similar tasks) or experience cognitive impairment, you can access funds to help cover your care, used however you choose.
Critical Illness
A diagnosis such as a heart attack, stroke, cancer, or organ transplant can trigger access to a portion of your benefit, helping cover treatment costs and the income disruption that often comes with it.
Long-Term Care
Some policies let you draw on your death benefit to help pay for qualifying long-term care, in some cases repeatedly over time as needs continue.
For Whole Life and IUL policyholders, there is a fifth living benefit: policy loans against your accumulated cash value, for any reason, at any time. Payouts through these riders typically range from 25% to 100% of the death benefit, and most modern policies include this feature at no extra premium. [13]
These are not add-ons you have to remember to ask for. Goshen Financial builds them into every policy discussion from the start, so your coverage works for you at every stage of life. [14]
Side by Side
Term. Whole Life. IUL. Here's how they compare, and how they can work together.
Every life insurance policy falls into one of three families. The right choice depends on what you need the coverage to accomplish, and for how long.
| Term | Whole Life | IUL | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | Lowest | Higher, fixed for life | Higher, flexible |
| Coverage length | Set term (10, 20, or 30 years) | Permanent | Permanent |
| Cash value | None | Guaranteed, grows steadily | Grows with a market index, within a floor and cap |
| Access while living | None (unless Return of Premium) | Policy loans against cash value | Policy loans against cash value |
| Growth potential | None | Modest and guaranteed | Higher potential, downside protected by a floor |
| Best for | Maximum protection at the lowest cost, for a defined period | Guaranteed, predictable lifetime protection with steady accumulation | Lifetime protection plus the highest accumulation potential, for those comfortable with more moving parts |
